Services

Anxiety
It’s perfectly normal to experience anxiety in a stressful situation, but anxiety that’s overwhelming or difficult to control could point to an anxiety disorder.

Depression
Everyone feels sad from time-to-time, but if your down mood is affecting the quality of your life or interfering with your daily routine, it could be a symptom of depression.

PTSD
Someone who has been in the midst of a horrifying event like military combat, a major traffic collision, a drive-by shooting, or domestic abuse can suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Ketamine
Ketamine has been used as an anesthetic for years, but over the course of the last decade, it’s proven effective in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Insomnia
Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that makes it difficult for you to fall asleep and/or stay asleep. If you spend most nights tossing and turning, you aren’t alone. Studies show that 33% of American adults get less than seven hours of sleep each night.

Wellness
Wellness is an approach to health care that emphasizes preventing illness versus treating disease and maximizing an individual’s quality of life.

Posted on Lucy YardenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Full disclosure: I haven’t been to this particular office . HOWEVER, I saw Dr. Sambunaris and his team years ago (late 1990’s?) for an anti-depressant drug trial. It was done with a double-blind placebo and I never knew whether I was receiving “the real thing” or not. However, over the weeks of going in and meeting with him and his team, I came to greatly respect the care and thoughtful approach that I could see came from the direction of Dr. Sambunaris. He and his team were always ready to stop the trial for a patient, should they start experiencing any negative side effects. I suppose that’s normal for drug trials, but I felt so very cared for. In all my years since then of trying therapy here and there, I’ve never experienced an office team and /or Psych doctor that was that…I dunno…warm; loving; that made you feel like it’s gonna be ok. (I know what you’re probably thinking: I haven’t found the right therapist and I need to just head to Dr. S’s office! You’re right!) At the end of the trial, during the exit interview, Dr. S. asked if I thought I was on an antidepressant (I did think so), and queried me on my thoughts. He then explained the link between depression and anxiety (who knew? I’m not even sure “Google” was born yet!). That info has been THE most helpful to me over the years - more-so than possibly ANY mental health information: That my depression wasn’t the crux of the problem; my ANXIETY was (is). I’m so grateful to Dr. Angelo Sambunaris for giving me that tidbit of knowledge so that I could learn how to better take care of myself. Hopefully, I’ll be in there soon…Posted on NicoleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Love Dr. Sambunaris! He just gets me, and deals with a lot of military and as a military wife, he’s always been very good and patient with me and understanding most of all! Also, all of the ladies up front are always super sweet! I highly recommendPosted on Mark STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very personable and knowledgeable.Posted on Will ShinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. You know the saying, “you get what you pay for”? Well, with Dr. Sambanaris, you get more than that—you get a psychiatrist who actually talks to you instead of speed-running you through an appointment like he’s late for a flight. This doctor takes the time to really get to know you—like, by the end of your first session, you’re halfway wondering if you should invite him to Thanksgiving. He listens, he asks thoughtful questions and illustrates his points on a dry erase board in easy-to-understand terms. And the office? It’s refreshingly human. The phone actually gets answered by a real person. The whole place has a friendly, family-like vibe that makes you feel more like you’re visiting an old friend than walking into a medical office. If you’re tired of revolving-door psychiatry and want someone who takes the time to actually understand you, Dr. Sambanaris is your guy. 10/10 would recommend—unless you’re in a hurry. Because he’s not, and that’s the best part.Posted on Bethany ConnerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Be careful if you decide to become a patient with this dr! First of all his "diagnostic" initial appt is 575, no insurance accepted. Then I was called by the staff after hearing it was 575 and they were trying to push ketamine infusions on me since I had a prior history of not having pleasant side effects with SSRIs in the past, all without ever meeting me in person, knowing anything else about my health conditions, or what I'm actually coming to be treated for and what my goals of care are. Seems like this dr gets some sort of incentive to initiate ketamine treatments on patients, including ones he knows nothing about and has never seen in person before! Red flag!Posted on Jeff FindlingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been going to Dr. Sambunaris for many years. Their practice is excellent!
